incREDible!!!!!

The title of this post was chosen from the numerious suggestions on how to describe the week by a liverpool fan.
Last week was probably, the best week for the supporters of Liverpool and also one of my best.
First I celebrated my birthday last week!!!

Then, the 4-0 thrashing of Real madrid, at Anfield, with one of the most beautiful attacking game by liverpool. The los merigues did not know what hit them.

And to cap the week off, (why do weeks like this end :( ), is the 1-4 thumping of Manure( Manchester United to others), at Old trafford.
When a friend who dashed out to watch the match (as i could not get it, live at home), phoned me with the result, i thought he was pulling my leg, until i finally saw the goals myself.

In closing, i have a wonderful image to remember this week, WHAT A WEEK!!!

Hip Hop and Adidas

I was enjoying the video of the single Roc Boys (and the winner is...) from Jay-Z sometime ago, and it struck, must rap/hip hop video is hip hop, (especially in the early days) shows the star rockin' adidas wears; mostly emblazzoned jacket and sneakers.
I decided to do a little research on the relationship between adidas (an european brand) and hip hop. The finding is quite intersting...

The relationship was started around '86 by the hip-hop iconic act, Run DMC. The group were known to be sporting adidas "superstar" sneakers without the laces and/or pulling the tongue out.
They were imitating the dressing on the street which was inspired by the fashion in prison.
In response by an anti-sneaker rap, the group who released a single "My Adidas", in tribute to their love for the adidas "Superstar" sneakers, and to change the storeotype of the sneaker style.


During show, the groups ask audience to raise their "adidas", this prompted the executives on adidas company to sign the group making it the first ever endorsement deal with a rap group.

Adidas and Hip hop has been intrinsically linked since then, evn with the entry to the scene of other brands like Nike, rebook etc..

Wurde eine Weile... Been awhile

It has been a while since i have been shirking from spreading the gospel according to OSS, Fedora Ambassador and blogs.

I have been busy with work on Charging System, Unix, SS7, Oracle etc..
As a come back and to get back my lost time, i have been busy installing and tweaking Fedora 9, (i know its kinda old now both) well that were to start.


The OS is very "tight", am almost jumping like a kid. It reminds me of the joy of installing my first OS, back in the days.
Big ups to the Fedora Project team for the excellent work.

Its unbelievable what has been achieved. without going against the goal of totally free as in beer ideals

To capture all that has been going with my "come back" I will title my forays as a series called "Wurde eine Weile..." meaning been awhile
