Coop PH

I stayed in Bairro da Coop, Maputo for my vacation. Coop contains about 10 ten-storey buildings, labelled PH-1 to PH-10.
However, before I saw the place, I heard the locals calling the house "piaga". I proceeded on research to find out the exact meaning of the word "piaga" in Portuguese. I can't remember why I didn't just ask the guys.
I tried Google translate and Search to no avail. I tried to change to word to "phiaga", "piega", "peagar".. still no results until I just looked at the letters in front of me.
The word, is simply a combination of letter P and H! Which is pronounced as "Pee-agar!" In Portuguese, like an English speaker will say Pee-Etch!
It means that the answer has always been in front of me, or may I say on the building!!
