...I remember Olorogun Michael Ibru (The original Nigerian business patriarch) watching me as we were doing a dinner/press event when Econet was about to launch and I was proud to be in the initial project team. He called me aside and asked me what my occupation was and I proudly told him "Consultant". He then asked if I think I can ever be as rich as he was by doing what I was doing now? I told him I will try. He said "not here". "If you want to be as rich as I am, go and sell fish. I sold plenty of fish and I am rich" then he fell asleep…. - Victor Asemota vis OONwoye

Street honor
I am drinking with a friend of mine is a less developed part of Maputo.
A guy knocked down our beer, and immediately apologized and offered to replace.
Feeling that we are probably better off, I told my friend to refuse the offer (since my Portuguese is not good), the guy strongly refused to agree to our decline.

I spent the remaining time thinking of the honor that will make an obviously less resourced person to insist..
Coop PH
I stayed in Bairro da Coop, Maputo for my vacation. Coop contains about 10 ten-storey buildings, labelled PH-1 to PH-10.
However, before I saw the place, I heard the locals calling the house "piaga". I proceeded on research to find out the exact meaning of the word "piaga" in Portuguese. I can't remember why I didn't just ask the guys.
I tried Google translate and Search to no avail. I tried to change to word to "phiaga", "piega", "peagar".. still no results until I just looked at the letters in front of me.
The word, is simply a combination of letter P and H! Which is pronounced as "Pee-agar!" In Portuguese, like an English speaker will say Pee-Etch!
It means that the answer has always been in front of me, or may I say on the building!!
